Huma Gruaz is the founder, president, and CEO of Alpaytac Public Relations and has nearly two decades of public relations and marketing communications experience. Huma has been recognized as 2010 Brand Marketer of the Year by PR News, she was awarded the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award by PR Daily and also was named one of PR News’ Top Women in PR for 2014 and 2015
Under Huma’s stewardship, Alpaytac has garnered an impressive array of industry honors, including the PR News Small Agency of the Year Honoree recognition four years running, the 2010 PR News Brand Marketer of the Year Award, and the 2013 Bulldog Media Relations Gold Level Award.
After working for global agencies and major brands such as Unilever, Shell, Philips Electronics, Spice Islands and Hoover, Huma founded Alpaytac in 2004 with one goal: Delivering big agency results wrapped in a boutique environment where client service is unsurpassed. From its beginnings with SharkNinja who remains a client today after 11 years, to its growth with Turkish Airlines, Abt Electronics, JLT Specialty U.S.A. and many others, Huma has developed Alpaytac into a powerful, results-driven agency built on the simple motto “good is not good enough.”
Born in Istanbul, educated in Europe and America, Huma Gruaz is fluent in Turkish, English, French, and Dutch, and is also an accomplished painter and artist. Huma is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a double major in Economics and Fine Arts, and holds an executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in addition to a fine art degree from the Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
Huma combines her business acumen and artistic creativity to develop out of the box campaigns for her clients to continue to help build their brands and businesses.
